ABOUT ME
Here’s a bit about my background
Hello there, I would love to share a bit about my background with you. My passion for textile design led me to work in a studio for many years, where I honed my skills and developed a deep understanding of the industry. I pursued my education with great enthusiasm, achieving CGLI qualifications in both Fashion and Textiles, as well as a CGLI Teachers Cert. Later, I went on to earn a BA in Art and Design, earning a Distinction for ‘imaginative use of media’ from Constance Howard FSDC MBE. This was followed by a PGCE, Post Grad Teaching Dip, and finally, my MA in Art and Design Ed.
With the advent of digital media in the arts, I was driven to explore its impact on traditional painting practices, and I completed my Ph.D. on ‘The Influence of Digital Media on the Practice and Imagery of Painters with Small Studios between 1997 and 2003’. As a result, I was accepted as a Fellow of the RSA, which was a great honor for me. Over the years, I have taught in both schools and colleges, catering to students of all ages, from infants to adults.
When I’m not creating beautiful works of art or teaching others, I enjoy indulging in my love of reading. I’m an avid reader of arts and crafts books, biographies, crime and mystery novels, thrillers, young adult novels, and children’s books.
I also love to travel and have had the pleasure of visiting many countries worldwide. One of my favorite places to retreat to is our beautiful penthouse on the island of Gozo. It’s perched on a hill overlooking Mgarr harbor, with stunning views of Comino and Malta. I’ve recently listed this gorgeous place on Airbnb, and I invite you to take a look at the pictures and see what it has to offer. It’s the perfect getaway for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
Thank you for taking the time to read a bit about me, and I hope to connect with you soon
